About pg-comp-radar
Paragliding competitions are announced on several platforms, and the registration for the popular ones fills within days of opening. This radar reads them all a few times a day, merges the listings of the same competition, and tracks when each one's registration opens, so you can see in one place what is coming up, whether you can still get in, and where to register.
It is a community project, not run by or affiliated with any of the platforms. The organiser's page is always the authority: check it before you pay or travel.
The registration symbols
The same symbols and wording appear on this site, in the calendar feed and in the Google Calendar entry titles, e.g. 🟢 Naviter Open (open until 03.04.)

- ⚪ Not open yet: Not open yet; the date is shown when the organiser announced it.
- open until 03.04.
- 🟢 Open: Taking registrations; until the deadline when there is one.
- waitlist
- 🟠 Waitlist: As many pilots registered as there are places; new ones go on the waitlist.
- closed
- 🔴 Closed: The deadline passed or the competition started.
- cancelled
- ❌ Cancelled: Cancelled or postponed, by its title or the platform.
- unknown
- ❔ Unknown: No event page read yet, or the platform shows nothing to go by.
How the state is read
- PWCA and the Swiss League say outright whether registration is open; the radar takes their word.
- Everywhere else the state comes from the number of registered pilots. Organisers often test their form with one or two pilots before opening, so registration counts as open from 3 registrations on.
- Waitlist means registered ≥ places allowed.
- Closed follows once the registration deadline has passed or the competition has started.
- "Opened, per platform" on a competition page is when the third pilot registered, from the platform's own records; "first seen open" is when the radar noticed. The radar keeps a timeline of every state change it saw.

Subscribe to this address in Apple Calendar, Outlook, Thunderbird or Google Calendar ("From URL"). Apps refresh it on their own schedule, often only every few hours.

Raw data
The radar's data is public JSON: an index with each platform's freshness, and one file of competitions per year. Use it for your own tools; the format is versioned.
